Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt; stir in melted butter and vanilla until uniform. Press into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden; allow to cool.
- For filling, mix sliced apples with cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, flour, and sugar until coated.
- For topping, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, then mix in melted butter.
- Spread apple mixture over cooled crust; top with crumble mixture.
- Bake for about 40 minutes until the topping is golden and apples are tender.
- Cool completely before slicing; drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
