- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 1/3 cup hot pepper jelly
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Stir in shredded cheddar until well combined.
- Add flour, salt, and garlic powder; mix until a dough forms. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll chilled dough into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Press your thumb into each ball to create an indentation.
- Fill each thumbprint with about 1/2 teaspoon of hot pepper jelly.
- Bake for 13–15 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
