- 1.3 pounds ground beef
- 4 tablespoons breadcrumbs
- 1 yellow onion (grated)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- ½ cup low sodium chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons chopped dill
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine grated onion, ground beef, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, heavy cream, and egg. Mix gently until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into four patties about ¾ inch thick.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove patties and set aside. In the same skillet, sauté diced onion and minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add flour, stirring well; then pour in chicken broth while scraping up browned bits from the skillet.
- Stir in heavy cream and chopped dill; allow to simmer until slightly thickened. Return patties to the skillet and simmer for an additional 5–6 minutes before serving.
