- 1 can refrigerated cinnamon roll dough
- 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
- 4 tbsp brown sugar
- Powdered sugar (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (191°C) and prepare a 9-inch round baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Unroll several cinnamon rolls and arrange them into a spiral in the baking dish.
- Halve and core the apples, then slice them into 1/8-inch thick pieces.
- Toss apple slices with lemon juice in a mixing bowl.
- Combine melted butter and brown sugar in another bowl, then pour over the apple slices and mix gently.
- Microwave the apple slices for about 2 minutes until pliable, then strain any excess liquid.
- Form apple rose shapes by overlapping slices and rolling them tightly; place in the center of the cinnamon roll spiral.
- Fill any gaps between the rolls with additional apple slices.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
