Instructions

- Combine sugar, salt, egg, and melted butter into the yeast mixture; stir well.
- Gradually add flour until a dough forms; adjust consistency as needed.
- Knead dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm spot for about an hour or until doubled.
- Punch down the risen dough and shape into ropes; tie each rope into knots.
- Coat knots with melted butter and then dip in cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
