Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a stand mixer, cream cold butter with both sugars for about 3-4 minutes until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In another bowl, whisk together cake flour, all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients until just mixed.
- Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Divide dough into nine equal portions (approx. 6 ounces each) and shape into balls without flattening.
- Chill dough balls for at least 30 minutes before baking.
- Bake for 10-11 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain slightly underbaked.
- Allow cookies to cool on sheets for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
