Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a stand mixer, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 3–5 minutes).
- Add eggs and cake batter flavoring; mix until fully combined.
- Gradually mix in flour and baking powder until just combined; fold in sprinkles if desired.
- Scoop out dough (about 1/3 cup) and shape into balls; flatten slightly.
- Bake on lined baking sheets for about 12–15 minutes until puffed but still glossy.
- While cooling, prepare the frosting by whipping cream cheese and butter until smooth; gradually add powdered sugar and remaining flavoring.
- Frost cooled cookies using a piping bag.
- Top with extra sprinkles before serving.
