- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp milk or cream
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Toast pecans on a baking sheet for 5–7 minutes until fragrant; cool.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture; mix until just combined.
- Fold in cooled toasted pecans.
- Scoop dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden; cool on the sheet for five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
- Prepare glaze by melting butter and brown sugar over low heat; stir in milk or cream and then whisk in powdered sugar until smooth.
- Drizzle glaze over cooled cookies.
