Ingredients
- 2 cups Fruity Pebbles cereal
- 4 cups whole milk
- 1 cup reserved cereal milk
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt (omit if using salted butter)
Instructions
- Combine 2 cups of Fruity Pebbles with 4 cups of whole milk in a large bowl. Let sit for 30 minutes, then strain to separate the milk from the cereal.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, whisk together 1/4 cup flour and 1 cup reserved cereal milk. Cook until thickened (5-7 minutes), then let cool completely.
- In a stand mixer, beat together 1 cup softened butter and 2/3 cup sugar until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes). Add in vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the cooled flour mixture until well combined.
- Optionally fold in remaining Fruity Pebbles for added texture.
