Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine lukewarm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 8-10 minutes until bubbly.
- In another bowl, mix flour and salt. Add to the yeast mixture along with olive oil. Knead on low speed for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1.5 to 2 hours).
- Shape the dough into a circle on an oiled surface, add crumbled feta on top, then gather the edges to enclose the filling.
- Transfer to a baking tray lined with semolina flour or parchment paper, allow to rise for an additional 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 425 °F (220 °C). Brush the top with melted butter and cream, sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
