Instructions

  2. Use a hand blender to puree the mixture until smooth. If using a regular blender, process in batches.
  3. Return the puree to the pot and cook uncovered for another hour over medium-low heat until thickened and deep mahogany in color.
  4. Stir in lemon juice before transferring to jars for storage.
