Instructions
- Peel the zest from the lemons, avoiding the white pith.
- Combine lemon peels and grain alcohol in a jar; seal tightly and let infuse for at least 7 days.
- Create a sugar syrup by heating 2.5 cups sugar with 4.5 cups water until dissolved; cool completely.
- Mix the infused alcohol with the cooled syrup, adjusting sweetness to taste.
- Strain into glass bottles using a funnel; refrigerate or freeze before serving.
