- 1 lb steak (cut into strips)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 cup rice (uncooked)
- 2 cups beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak strips, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in honey, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Add uncooked rice and beef broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer.
- Cover and reduce heat to low; cook for 15-18 minutes until rice is tender.
- Return the steak to the skillet, stir to combine with rice, and heat through for another 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
