Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup chocolate syrup
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Whisk until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool for about 10 minutes, then poke holes all over it using a wooden spoon handle.
- Drizzle chocolate syrup over the holes while the cake is still warm, allowing it to soak in.
- In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream with cocoa powder until fluffy. Fold in chocolate chips and spread over the cooled cake.
