Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease two round cake pans.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, vegetable oil, orange juice, and zest until combined.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients; stir until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
- For the frosting, beat heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Once cooled, frost between layers and on top of the cake. Garnish with orange slices if desired.
