Instructions
- Prepare the Strawberries: Rinse and slice the strawberries. Toss them with a sprinkle of sugar in a bowl to enhance sweetness.
- Whip the Cream: In a chilled mixing bowl, combine heavy whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat with an electric mixer until soft peaks form (about 3-5 minutes).
- Assemble Layers: In a rectangular baking dish, layer half of the ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the whipped cream mixture over them, followed by half of the sliced strawberries.
- Repeat Layers: Add another layer of ladyfingers topped with remaining whipped cream and sliced strawberries.
- Chill: Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least four hours or overnight to allow flavors to meld.
- Serve & Enjoy: Garnish with whole strawberries, slice into squares, and serve chilled.
