- 1 box (15 oz) Angel Food Cake Mix
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ cup melted coconut oil
- ½ cup apple juice (for dipping sauce)
- 1 tsp agar-agar powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare angel food cake mix using water and whip until fluffy.
- Pour the batter into an ungreased tube pan and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Cool upside down on a wire rack.
- Once cooled, slice the cake into bite-sized pieces.
- In one bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon; in another, melt coconut oil. Dip each piece in coconut oil then roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- For the dipping sauce, heat apple juice and agar-agar in a saucepan until thickened. Let cool slightly before serving.
- Serve churro bites warm with dipping sauce.
