- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water (110°F / 45°C)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by mixing warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl; let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Stir in flour, salt, olive oil, basil, oregano, and garlic powder until combined.
- Knead the dough by hand or with a stand mixer for 8–10 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let rise for about 1 hour until doubled.
- Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf, place it in a greased pan, and top with cheeses.
- Cover and rise again for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before slicing.
