- 7 grams active dry yeast
- 240 milliliters warm water
- 30 milliliters olive oil
- 170 grams sliced pepperoni
- 170 grams sliced Genoa salami
- 170 grams sliced ham or prosciutto
- 200 grams shredded mozzarella cheese
- 50 grams grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional: thinly sliced green bell pepper and red onion
Instructions
- Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water; let it froth for 5–10 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and olive oil; mix until combined.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled (60–90 minutes).
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Layer meats, cheeses, and optional veggies evenly.
- Roll tightly from one edge to form a log; seal edges well.
- Place seam-side down on parchment-lined baking sheet, brush with egg wash, and cut slits on top.
- Bake at 200°C for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool for a few minutes before slicing; serve with marinara sauce.
