  • 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). In a bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cake flour, corn starch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. Cream the cold butter with brown sugar and white sugar using a stand mixer until fluffy. Add one egg and one egg yolk; mix until combined.
  3. Gradually add the dry mixture until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
  4. Portion out six cookies (about 5.7 oz each) onto a lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown on top. Let cool on the sheet for at least 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
