- 1 liter grain alcohol (190 proof)
- 1.5 liters water
- 3.25 cups granulated sugar

Instructions
- Wash and scrub lemons thoroughly; dry with a towel.
- Peel lemons carefully using a vegetable peeler, avoiding excess pith.
- Place lemon peels in a large glass jar and cover with grain alcohol.
- Infuse in a cool, dark place for 30 days, shaking gently every few days.
- After infusing, prepare simple syrup by dissolving sugar in warm water; let cool.
- Strain the infused mixture through a sieve lined with coffee filter.
- Combine cooled syrup with strained alcohol and stir well.
- Bottle limoncello using a funnel and allow to rest for another 30 days before serving.
