Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In one mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients until fully combined.
- Roll out dough on a floured surface to about ¼ inch thick and cut out shapes using a cookie cutter.
- Place cookies on a lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool on a wire rack.
- Decorate cooled cookies with chocolate frosting, top each with a chocolate kiss, and add colored sprinkles if desired.
