Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, vegetable oil, orange juice, hot coffee, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined; fold in orange zest.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- While cooling, prepare frosting by mixing softened butter with powdered sugar, cocoa powder, melted chocolate, vanilla extract, and orange zest until smooth.
- Once cooled completely, frost the cake generously.
