Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the egg, butter, oil, vanilla extract, and hot water; stir until blended.
- Add oats, flour, baking soda, brown sugar, white sugar, salt, and spices; mix thoroughly.
- Fold in your choice of mix-ins (cranberries or pecans).
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for about 12 minutes until golden brown around the edges.
- Allow cooling on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
