- 5–6 ripe peaches, cut into wedges
- 1 stick (8 tablespoons) salted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Melt the cubed butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish in the oven for about 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix flour, ¾ cup brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Add milk and vanilla; stir until combined.
- Toss peach wedges with remaining ¼ cup brown sugar and maple syrup in another bowl.
- Layer half the peaches over melted butter in the dish, pour batter on top without stirring, and layer remaining peaches.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes until edges are golden brown and center is set.
- For maple butter drizzle, heat remaining butter and maple syrup in a pan until boiling; drizzle over baked cobbler before serving.
