Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sugar and orange zest. Add butter and cream until fluffy.
- Mix in sour cream, water, orange juice, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to wet ingredients.
- Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full and bake for about 19 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely before filling with orange curd and topping with frosting.
