  • 3 tbsp heavy cream (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and extracts; mix well.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt. Gradually stir this into the wet mixture until just combined.
  4. Spread the dough evenly in the prepared pan and bake for about 15 minutes or until golden around the edges. Allow to cool completely.
  5. While cooling, prepare the frosting by beating together softened butter with powdered sugar, adding vanilla extract and heavy cream until smooth.
