  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram

Instructions

  1. Core the cabbage and carefully remove leaves. Blanch in boiling water for 2–3 minutes until pliable.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, cooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Place a portion of filling on each cabbage leaf and roll tightly.
  4. Arrange rolls seam-side down in a large pot or Dutch oven.
  5. In another bowl, mix crushed tomatoes, beef broth, paprika, and marjoram; pour over cabbage rolls.
  6. Cover and simmer on low heat for 1.5 to 2 hours until tender.
