- 2 tbsp Light Brown Sugar (lightly packed)
- 2 tbsp Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 tbsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Ground Ginger
- 1/4 tsp Ground Nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp AllSpice
- 1/8 tsp Ground Cloves
- 3 tbsp Unsalted Butter (room temperature)
- 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter (room temperature)
- 2 tbsp Pure Maple Syrup
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 tbsp Whole Milk
- 2 cups Sifted Powdered Sugar
- 1/8 tsp Salt
- 1 large Egg Yolk
- 1 tbsp Water
Instructions
- Warm the milk to 100-115°F and combine with flour, yeast, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, pumpkin puree, melted butter, and egg in a mixing bowl until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rise in a greased bowl covered with a cloth in a warm place for about 60 minutes.
- Mix filling ingredients—light brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice, cloves, and softened butter—in another bowl.
- Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle and spread the filling evenly over it.
- Roll tightly into a log shape and slice into 6 equal pieces.
- Place in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 350°F.
- Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
- For frosting: whisk together butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, milk, powdered sugar, salt, egg yolk, and water until smooth; drizzle over warm rolls.
