  • 190g unsalted butter (for topping)
  • 280g brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp plus 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp kosher salt
  • 115g unsalted butter (for frosting)
  • 225g cream cheese
  • 250g powdered sugar
  • 12 Tbsp heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk and combine it with sugar. Sprinkle yeast on top and let sit until foamy.
  2. Mix in eggs and salt, then gradually add flour and butter to form a smooth dough.
  3. Allow the dough to rise in a greased bowl until doubled in size.
  4. Cook diced apples in butter with sugar and spices until softened; fold in pecans.
  5. Roll out the dough, spread the apple filling, roll tightly, and cut into pieces.
  6. Let rolls rise again before baking at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes.
  7. Prepare cream cheese frosting by mixing softened butter and cream cheese with powdered sugar; frost cooled rolls.
