Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef with onions for about 10 minutes; add garlic and cook for another minute.
- Stir in tomato sauce and Italian seasoning; simmer for approximately 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream and cottage cheese until smooth; mix in cooked noodles.
- Layer half of the noodle mixture in the baking dish, followed by half of the meat sauce; repeat layers.
- Top with grated cheddar cheese and bake for about 30 minutes until bubbly.
