  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Spread 2/3 of the batter into the pan.
  3. In another bowl, mix cream cheese, pumpkin puree, sugar, egg, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger until smooth. Spread over brownie layer.
  4. Dollop remaining brownie batter on top and swirl with a knife.
  5. Bake for 35–40 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. Cool completely before slicing into squares.
