Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and spices.
- In another bowl, cream softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light.
- Add eggs one at a time, followed by maple syrup.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet until just combined.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets, spaced apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
- For frosting, brown the remaining butter in a saucepan and mix with powdered sugar and heavy cream until smooth.
- Once cookies cool, frost generously and serve.
