Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the hard caramel and let it cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together light brown sugar, granulated sugar, and unsalted butter.
- Add vanilla extract and eggs; mix until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together baking powder, baking soda, sea salt, and flour. Gradually add to wet ingredients until blended.
- Fold in dark chocolate and hard caramel.
- Scoop mounds of dough onto the prepared sheet, spacing them two inches apart; sprinkle with sea salt if desired.
- Bake for about 12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the sheet before transferring them to wire racks.
