- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon BBQ sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon cider vinegar
- 1 & 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- dash black pepper
- large all-beef or Polish hot dogs
- large buns
- butter
- white onions
- sauerkraut
- pickles
- banana peppers
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine ketchup, brown sugar, BBQ sauce, honey, cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, and black pepper.
- Heat over high until bubbling; remove from heat and let cool.
- Preheat the grill to medium heat.
- Make diagonal cuts along the hot dogs for even cooking.
- Grill hot dogs for about 3-5 minutes per side until desired char is achieved.
- Butter the insides of the buns and toast them on the grill until slightly crispy.
- Assemble by placing hot dogs in buns and generously topping with special sauce and your choice of additional toppings.
