Ingredients
- 4 cups Chex cereal (any variety)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Stir in brown sugar until bubbly.
- Remove from heat; mix in vanilla extract and salt.
- In a large bowl, pour Chex cereal and drizzle with the butter mixture. Gently fold until evenly coated.
- Spread mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, stirring halfway through.
- Allow to cool completely before serving.
