Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add diced apples, sliced sweet potatoes, and sliced carrots along with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, sage, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Sauté for about 5 minutes.
- Incorporate the ground turkey into the pot and cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes).
- Stir in tomato paste, chili powder, and additional salt.
- Mix in crushed tomatoes and simmer on low-medium heat for 20-30 minutes.
- For best texture, add kidney beans towards the end of cooking.
