  • 3 cups Rice
  • ½ Onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 Chicken seasoning cube
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon Paprika
  • ½ teaspoon Chili pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • Turkey bones and skin
  • A handful of chopped onion
  • ½ Red bell pepper
  • ½ Green bell pepper
  • Red bell peppers
  • 2 Large tomatoes
  • 1 Habanero
  • 1 cup Turkey broth
  • 1 cup Water
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon Oil (for frying the turkey)
  • Onion (for sautéing)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Debone and cut turkey thighs into small pieces.
  2. Season turkey with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, chili pepper, chicken seasoning cube, and salt. Let marinate.
  3. In a pot, simmer turkey bones with onion, carrot, garlic, ginger, chicken seasoning cube, salt, and water to make stock.
  4. Blend bell peppers and tomatoes to create a pepper mix.
  5. Strain the stock once done cooking.
  6. Cook rinsed rice in a mixture of turkey stock and water until tender.
  7. Fry seasoned turkey pieces until golden brown.
  8. Sauté onions and garlic in the same pan; add pepper mix and cook until fragrant.
  9. Combine fried turkey pieces and cooked rice with sautéed mixture; stir gently to combine.
