Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine chilled watermelon juice, sugar, and salt. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Add heavy cream to the mixture and blend well.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions. During the last 10 minutes, add mini chocolate chips.
- Transfer the churned sherbet into a freezer-safe container and freeze until solid (usually several hours or overnight).
- Serve in waffle cones, topped with fresh fruit, or in half of a hollowed-out watermelon for an eye-catching presentation.
