- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, chilled
- 3 medium apples, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar

- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and sugar. Cut in chilled butter until crumbly. Gradually add cold water until dough forms. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Combine diced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice in another bowl.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out half the dough into an oval about 1/8 inch thick.
- Place half the apple filling on one side of the dough oval. Fold over and seal edges with a fork. Repeat with remaining dough and filling.
- Transfer kringles to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush tops with egg wash and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before garnishing with parsley, then slice and serve warm.
