Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Melt the unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar until well combined.
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then whisk in eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually fold into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Gently mix in sliced strawberries and optional chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing into squares.
