- 1 cup warm water or milk
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)

- 2 1/2–3 cups all-purpose flour (plus more as needed)

- 7 tablespoons salted butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 3/4 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a stand mixer, combine warm water or milk, yeast, and honey; let sit until bubbly.
- Add flour, salt, and butter; knead until smooth (3-4 minutes). Allow to rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle; spread with softened butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and chocolate chips.
- Fold in half, cut into strips, twist into knots, and place on the baking sheet.
- Mix remaining butter with brown sugar and cinnamon; top each knot before baking for added crunch.
- Bake for about 16-20 minutes until golden brown.
