Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter using an electric mixer. Gradually add granulated sugar while mixing until well combined.
- Mix in honey and applesauce until fully incorporated.
- Gently fold in ripe mashed bananas.
- Combine dry ingredients: sprinkle flour, baking soda, and optional wheat germ over the wet mixture. Fold until just combined; avoid overmixing.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan before transferring to a wire rack for slicing.
