- 1 1/4 cups creamy conventional peanut butter
- 10 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 ounces semisweet baking chocolate
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs + 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt chopped chocolate and butter together until smooth.
- In a bowl, mix melted chocolate with sugar; whisk in eggs and vanilla until combined.
- In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt; fold into wet ingredients until just mixed.
- Pour half the batter into the prepared pan, add dollops of peanut butter, then top with remaining batter.
- Bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before slicing into squares.
